The Science Behind Vaping
Smoking cigarettes and other traditional tobacco products are becoming more popularly criticized for how unsafe it is to use. More and more people are jumping onto the vaping train and hopping off of the traditional smoking train because though vaping is not considered necessarily safe, it is most definitely a safer and healthier alternative to cigarettes. People who vape are also inhaling much fewer chemicals. You may be considering making a switch from cigarettes to vapes, but before you do, learn how a vaporizer works and what it is that you will be inhaling.
So what exactly is vaping?
Vaping is when you use an electric cigarette to inhale and exhales vape juice and it is done when the vape juice is heated up and turned into a vapor. The vape juice is usually a specific liquid that you would buy in a vape store, but you can also use homemade dry herbs if you are knowledgeable on how to do it correctly.
What are vaping devices made up of?
Vaporizers come in all sorts of shapes and size big and small. Most vaporizers are easy to use and only require you to press a button to release the vape juice for you to inhale, while other bigger vaporizers are more complex and have features that give the user a custom vaping experience based on what they like. Whether it is a basic model or a more advanced one, all vaporizers have the same basic parts that are as follows:
A vaporizer is an electric device, so it needs a battery to operate. This battery gives the vaporizer its power and allows it to heat up the atomizer which is responsible for turning the vape juice into vapor.
The atomizer, which is the device’s heating element, has a coil and a soft wick within it. It quickly heats up the vape juice to a boiling point so that it turns into the vapor for you to inhale. The wick within the atomizer controls how much liquid gets to the coil so that you do not burn through the liquid too quickly. The resistance of the atomizer controls how much power gets to the system. To have an even flow of vapor when you inhale, you should look for a vaporizer that has a low-resistance atomizer and high voltage.
This is the part of the vaporizer that actually holds the liquid when you put it in. It will be either disposable or refillable depending in which type you buy. There is a wide variety of e-juice flavors that the cartridge holds like coffee, chocolate, starburst, mint, candy, etc. and you can get them with some nicotine or none at all. Whether you are a brand user of vaporizers or have been vaping for quite some time, it is important to get all of your e-juices in its cartridges from trusted manufacturers who sell only high-quality products. This is because some people sell e-juice that has harmful chemicals or unlisted ingredients that are not as pure as they are supposed to be.
No matter how new or experienced you are in the world of vaping, it can be overwhelming to choose the right type of vaping device and e-juice for your uses because of the sheer number of them on the market. To make sure you are getting the right products for your needs, you should go to a popular, trusted vape shop that can help you pick out the right vaping gear suited for your likes, your vaping habits, and what your budget it.
So how do vapes work?
The first step in using your vaporizer is the pod, which is the mouthpiece on your vaporizer. This is where the e-liquid is and where the user will put their mouth to inhale. Right beneath the mouthpiece is the e-liquid cartridge which can come in a wide range of flavors and has different levels of nicotine based on your preferences. Right below the cartridge is the atomizer which will heat up your e-juice and turn it into the vapor, and next to that is the color indicator which is a light that shows when the vaporizer is in use and changes when your battery level is low. Right next to the light is the internal circuit board which is where all the power comes from, the pressure sensor and battery, and finally, the aluminum body which holds the pod and battery together!
